Salary: £22,932 per annum

2 year Fixed Term Contract, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday between 9am and 5pm

About the Role

As a Finance Apprentice in our Customer Payments team, you’ll learn on the job while working towards a recognised qualification — gaining hands-on experience and building strong foundations for a rewarding career.

You’ll help ensure customers have a smooth and timely payment experience, staying on track with rent and helping to avoid arrears. You’ll contribute to processing over 500,000 transactions a year, supporting the management of rental income and improving customer outcomes. You’ll work with bespoke finance systems, Excel, and CRM tools to develop skills in income processing, payments and customer experience. It’s a fast-paced role with clear routines and deadlines, ideal for someone with great attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Support on-the-job learning while pursuing a recognised qualification.
  • Assist in income processing and customer payments, helping customers stay on track with rent.
  • Contribute to the processing of a high volume of transactions and improve customer outcomes.
  • Engage with bespoke finance systems, Excel, and CRM tools to develop practical skills.

About You / Qualifications

  • A willingness to work towards a recognised qualification while gaining hands-on experience.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.
  • A basic understanding of customer service and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality support.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to balance work and study.
  • Clear, confident communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
  • A reliable work ethic with attention to detail and a drive to learn and improve.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Confidence in following instructions and working under supervision.
  • Strong computer literacy and a willingness to learn finance systems and tools.

Interviews

Stage 1: A Place to Connect — An assessment centre with group exercises to assess teamwork, communication and problem solving, plus an opportunity to meet the team and current Apprentices.

Planned date: 12th September at our Bradford Office.

Stage 2: A Place to Show Your Strengths — A behavioural and scenario-based interview, with a Customer Service Questionnaire to complete in advance.

Planned date: 16th September via Teams.

Benefits and Additional Information
