Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of service charge budgets, forecasts and year‑end accounts.
  • Assist with calculation and allocation of service charge costs in line with occupancy agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and service charge data.
  • Produce customer communications and financial information with a high level of accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies and identify potential issues.
  • Support key finance processes and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Work closely with the Service Charge Accountant and wider Finance team to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in systems, processes and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including experience with formulas, large datasets and data manipulation.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, investigate discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
  • High level of attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to strict deadlines.
  • Sound understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Experience using finance systems and working with financial data.
  • Part‑qualified in a relevant accounting qualification (or actively working towards qualification).
  • Proactive team player with excellent organisational skills and a problem‑solving mindset.
