Salary: £50,353 per annum. Permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm.

About The Role

As our Data Quality & Governance Lead, you’ll be at the heart of this transformation. This isn’t just about managing data; it’s about inspiring a whole organisation to think differently. You’ll champion high‑quality, well‑governed data that empowers better decisions, sharper insights and, ultimately, better services for our customers and communities.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Bridge the gap between technical and business worlds – translating complex ideas into clear, actionable steps that everyone can understand.
- Lead our data owners through a maturing journey – influencing, coaching, and building confidence so they fully understand their responsibilities.
- Drive improvements in data quality and governance across the organisation – ensuring we remain compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
- Shape the future of how data works at Accent – leveraging new technology (including our evolving data platform) to modernise how we manage and use data.
- Support our Data SLT to think holistically about how data can be better across systems, teams, and processes.
- Champion cultural change – helping move the organisation forward in how we value, share, and learn from our data.
- Use your strong prioritisation skills to identify what matters most, focusing energy where it will make the biggest difference.
- Bring persistence and positivity – keeping momentum even when things get challenging, with exec‑level support behind you.
Salary
The spot salary for the Data Quality & Governance Lead post is £50,353 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. If you’re still developing some of the skills or experience, you can start at a salary 5% or 10% below the spot rate, with clear support and progression opportunities to reach the full amount.
About You

- Experience managing data governance frameworks with a clear understanding of how they support organisational success.
- Strong communication & influencing skills, enabling you to build trust and bring people with you on the journey.
- The ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and translate complex, technical information into clear, accessible business language.
- A track record of defining and implementing data quality standards that drive consistency and improvement.
- Experience in driving business-wide adoption of data governance, embedding new ways of working and supporting cultural change.
- Strong risk identification and management skills, ensuring issues are recognised early and addressed proactively.

Interviews
Stage 1: A Place to Connect - A call with the hiring manager. You’ll learn more about the role and team, and we’ll get to know you – your experience, goals, and what you bring. Planned date: 23rd April via Teams.
Stage 2: A Place to Show Your Strengths - You'll deliver a related presentation to the panel and have your final behavioural and scenario‑based interview focused on how you apply your knowledge to real‑life situations. You'll be asked to complete a Congruity Questionnaire in advance. Planned date: 5th May at our Bradford office or 6th May at our Peterborough office.
