Location & Contract: Hybrid, Camberley & surrounding areas with occasional travel to Ashford, Kent. 6‑month fixed term contract, 35 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 9am to 5pm plus on‑call as required. Salary £46,620 per annum (pro rata). Includes regional uplift (8% £3,361) and car allowance (starting at £1,250) on top of the base salary.

About the role: The Maintenance Surveyor delivers repair and voids maintenance services for properties in their assigned patch, collaborating with internal teams and contractors to provide high‑quality, timely repairs. The role combines site visits and desk‑based activities, including:

  • Visiting customer homes to assess repair needs using knowledge of building design, HHSRS and rates schedules;
  • Raising and tracking repairs in the bespoke Housing Management System until completion;
  • Upholding Empty Homes (Voids) standards and delivering first‑class quality homes efficiently;
  • Identifying and managing hazards such as damp and mould in line with Awaab’s Law;
  • Collaborating with contractors, housing teams and internal colleagues to improve service efficiency and customer experience.

About you: You should have:

  • An HNC in Building or equivalent, or relevant experience in maintenance and construction;
  • Strong understanding of building design, fabrics, lifecycles, contract performance and budget management;
  • Customer focus, excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret building legislation;
  • Experience using operational software for property management;
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits;
  • Will be subject to DBS and social media checks.
