Location: Hybrid, occasional travel to Accent offices (Bradford/Peterborough)

Salary: £38,194 per annum

Employment type: Permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm

As a Service Charge Accountant, you will ensure service charge costs are accurate, transparent and fully compliant with regulations and occupancy agreements. You will work with a committed team to deliver sharp forecasting, clear budgeting and reliable reporting.

Essential qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of service charge legislation
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven management accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience preparing auditable service charge accounts
  • Solid knowledge of different housing tenure types
  • A recognised finance qualification (or working towards one)

Desirable:

  • Social Housing experience
  • Understanding of different scheme structures
  • Ability to read and interpret tenancy agreements/leases

The successful applicant will be subject to pre-employment checks, such as DBS and social media screening, before an offer is confirmed.

  • Stage 1 – call with hiring manager
  • Stage 2 – role-related assessment and behavioural and scenario-based interview; Customer Service Questionnaire
