Due to continued company growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our Accounts team at Accent Catering. This is a key support role within a busy, fast-paced department, offering the chance to develop your administration and finance skills while supporting the smooth running of our accounting processes within a growing and successful organisation.
Working closely with the Accounts team and our catering sites, you will play a vital role in checking weekly accounting returns, responding to queries, and ensuring financial records are accurate and complete. You will act as a key point of contact for site managers, providing guidance, resolving queries, and helping to maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency across our operations. You'll also provide administrative support to our Purchase Ledger function, giving you exposure to a wider range of finance activities and processes.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and enjoys working with numbers in a busy administrative environment. Whether you already have an AAT qualification or are looking to begin your AAT studies, this role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical finance experience while developing your career within a supportive team.

As our Accounts Admin Assistant, you will be:
- Checking weekly accounting returns from our catering sites
- Acting as a point of contact for site managers
- Responding to employee queries by email and telephone
- Liaising with catering managers to improve bookwork standards
- Providing feedback on errors and suggesting improvements
- Carrying out general admin tasks (opening post, filing, answering phones etc.)
- Supporting the purchase ledger team as required
What you will bring:
- Previous administration experience, ideally within an accounts or finance environment
- Confident IT skills – Word & Excel to intermediate level
- Strong appreciation for order, structure and accuracy
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong numerical skills
- The ability to clearly communicate with site managers and operations teams
- Attention to detail and a desire to get things right
- AAT qualified at Level 2, or keen to begin an AAT qualification
- An interest in developing a career in finance and accounts administration
