We’re seeking an experienced, commercially astute Operations Support Manager to work in partnership with the Operations Manager, supporting service delivery across our education catering sites and ensuring an excellent experience for our school customers. The role will be based in and around the East Sussex area.
Key Responsibilities
- Support service delivery across education catering sites, ensuring an excellent experience for school customers.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager on operational excellence, budgeting, financial control, waste management and stock control.
- Maintain food safety and health & safety standards, implementing robust procedures.
- Travel to schools weekly and occasionally daily to manage last‑minute diary changes.
- Cover the Chef Manager when required, providing culinary management and site coverage.
- Use full UK driving licence and own transport for regular travel between multiple sites.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in a similar role with a proven track record of improving standards.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
- Passion for food, commitment to quality, innovation and leading a motivated team.
- Knowledge of health & safety and food safety tasks.
- Financial and budget awareness, including GP calculation.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Craft‑based cooking skills.
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
