About the Role
The school kitchen in South East London, SE26 is seeking an exceptional Kitchen Porter. The position is 35 hours per week, term‑time only, Monday‑Friday from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm with a 30‑minute unpaid break. Hourly rate is £14.80.
Responsibilities
- Have good communication skills at all levels.
- Perform general kitchen duties.
- Operate a mechanical dishwasher and sinks to wash up.
- Put away deliveries with good stock practice.
- Carry out pot washing and dish cleaning.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.
- Undertake all basic training and work effectively with colleagues as part of a team.
- Speak to each customer and team member in a friendly, helpful and professional manner.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required.
