Overview

We have an exciting opportunity at our school site in Muswell Hill, London N10, for a Catering Assistant to join the team at Accent.

This is a permanent position, working 16 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 11.15 - 2.30, Friday 11.30 - 2.30. Term-time only – so all the school holidays off!

Responsibilities

  • general kitchen duties
  • putting away deliveries
  • food preparation
  • serving, cleaning and washing up
  • assisting with inventory management
  • maintaining high standards of presentation of food and replenishing counters, keeping them looking attractive throughout the service time
  • speaking to each customer in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
  • undertaking all basic training and working effectively with colleagues as part of a team

Qualifications

  • This is a customer facing position, so good communication skills and the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of the English language are required.
  • Experience in a similar role would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
