Your Responsibilities

  • Health, Safety & Environment
  • Metrics: Timely reports and investigations of HSE incidents. Feedback on lessons learned and best practices across the unit and division. Report progress on implementation of Group HSE/Sustainability objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). Proactively analyze HSE KPIs to tackle trends and patterns and advise on corrective actions.
  • Regulatory and other compliance: Implement policies and standards. Ensure the area of responsibility is audited according to the audit program. Assist line managers and supervisors in understanding obligations, liability, and how to fulfil their roles according to local HSE law and Accelleron Group policy.
  • Risk management: Facilitate HSE risk assessments by line management involving shop‑floor employees. Ensure all processes are implemented.
  • Continuous improvement: Drive behavioral change through implementing Group‑wide performance improvement programs locally to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture and a strong focus on the environment.
  • Communication and engagement: Engage external and internal stakeholders (e.g. customers, suppliers, other stakeholders) to report on, raise awareness, and gain commitment on Accelleron’s HSE efforts and performance, and obtain objective feedback. Cooperate with other functions and business partners to drive HSE performance.
  • Operational support and Project management: Ensure appropriate safety equipment and tools are available and used. Identify, plan, and initiate training needs for employees and managers, and ensure delivery of training. Drive and ensure compliance with Group management systems (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO45001).
  • Quality
    • Quality Assurance: Work with local management teams to prevent mistakes and defects in products and services, avoid problems when delivering solutions, and ensure that Accelleron meets customer quality requirements. Focus on issue prevention, establish customer and stakeholder needs, and utilize process management to deliver consistent results and maximize efficiencies.
    • Quality Control: Ensure effective internal controls verify that processes meet customer and stakeholder requirements. Validate that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating known risks.
    • Voice of the Customer: Capture and represent VOC within the local business. Use defined tools to increase transparency and speed in issue resolution, ensuring RCA reports meet high standards and customer expectations. Challenge the management team with customer experience feedback and continuously improve based on customer input.
    • Product and Service: Enable high‑quality products and services for customers and continuously improve.
    • Quality Governance: Deploy and maintain the Local Quality Management System (management review, audits, corrective/preventive measures, document control). Lead the local management team in an operational approach to process management continually evaluated for effectiveness.
    • Quality Compliance: Perform audits and use analytics of quality data to identify risks, failures, and nonconformances within the local business, suppliers, and customers. Ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken and managed to closure.
  • People Leadership and Development: Enable, with HR support, sustainable staffing, development, and direction of the local unit in line with Group guidance to support quality activities.
  • Your background

    • Experience and understanding of QMS, root cause analyses, auditing, and using data analysis tools.
    • Experience and understanding of health and wellbeing strategies.
    • Experience in high‑risk industries.
    • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) or a NEBOSH General Certification and working towards / or willing to work towards gaining a NEBOSH Diploma.
    • NVQ, Diploma or Degree in Safety, Health & Environmental Management (Preferred).
    • Environmental Management or Sustainability qualification (Preferred).
    • Practitioner Member of IEMA (PIEMA) or willing to work towards it (Preferred).
    • Corporate Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) or willing to work towards it (Preferred).
    • Corporate Member of CQI (CQP MCQI) or willing to work towards it (Preferred).
    • Diploma or Degree in Quality or related Management field (Preferred).
    • L6S experience (Preferred).
