Responsibilities:
- Health, Safety & Environmental Metrics: Timely reports and investigates HSE incidents. Feeds back lessons learned and best practice from own unit and across Division to management and employees. Reports progress on implementation of Group HSE/Sustainability objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs), as required. Proactively analyzes HSE KPI to tackle the trends and patterns and advise on corrective and improvement actions.
- Regulatory and other compliance: Implements policies and standards. Ensures area of responsibility is audited according to program for audit. Assists line managers and supervisors in understanding obligations, liability and how to fulfil their roles, according to local HSE law and Accelleron Group policy, instructions and standards.
- Risk management: Facilitates HSE risks assessment by line management involving shop floor employees, i.e. those directly concerned by the hazards, and ensures all processes are implemented.
- Continuous improvement: Drives behavioral change through implementing Group-wide performance improvement programs and practices locally to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on environment throughout the respective organization.
- Communication and engagement: Engages external (e.g. customers, suppliers and other stakeholders) and internal stakeholders in order to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on Accelleron's HSE efforts and performance and obtain objective feedback. Cooperates with other functions, and business partners to drive HSE performance.
- Operational support and Project management: Ensures appropriate safety equipment and tools are available and used. Identifies, plans and initiates training need, e.g. for employees, managers, and agree with, and ensures delivery of training. Drives and ensures compliance with Group management systems (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001).
- Quality: Includes quality assurance and quality control tasks focused on preventative measures and issue resolution.
- Quality Assurance: Works with local management teams to prevent mistakes and defects in products and services, provide confidence that Accelleron and customer quality requirements will be fulfilled, focus on issue prevention rather than just control, establish customer and stakeholder needs/expectations, drive the utilization of process management across the local business to deliver consistent results, minimizing variation and maximizing efficiencies.
- Quality Control: Ensures effective internal controls are in place to verify that processes continue to meet customer and stakeholder requirements. Validates that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating known risks.
- Voice of the Customer: Ensures the Voice of the Customer is captured represented within the local business. Ensure use of defined tools to increase transparency and speed in issue resolutions and ensure that the respective RCA reports in these issues have high standards and meet customer’s expectations. Challenge the management team with customer experience feedback and input to decisions. Enable and coach all employees to evaluate risks, problems and solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view and continuously improve based on customer feedback.
- Product and Service: Quality enable high quality products and services to our Customers and continuously improve.
- Quality Governance: Deploy and maintain the Local Quality Management System (Mgmt Review, Audits, corrective measures, preventive measures, control of documents, etc.) to provide the local business with policies, regulations and processes that sufficiently describe the value chain activities. Lead the local management team in the application of an operational approach and system of process management that is continually evaluated for effectiveness.
- Quality Compliance: Performs audits and ensures the use of analytics of Quality data from all parts of the operation to identify risks, failures and nonconformances within the local business, its suppliers and customers. Ensures that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken, and solutions are managed to closure.
- People Leadership and Development: Enables, with the support of HR, that the local unit is sustainably staffed, developed and directed in line with Group and local unit guidance to provide support and leadership for the Quality activities that support the local business.
Qualifications:
- Experience and understanding of QMS, root cause analyses, auditing, and using data analysis tools.
- Experience and understanding of health and wellbeing, delivering health and wellbeing strategies.
- Experience of high-risk industries.
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) or a NEBOSH General Certification and working towards / or willing to work towards gaining a NEBOSH Diploma.
- NVQ, Diploma or Degree in Safety, Health & Environmental Management (Preferred).
- Environmental Management or Sustainability qualification (Preferred).
- Practitioner Member of IEMA (PIEMA) or willing to work towards it (Preferred).
- Corporate Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) or willing to work towards it (Preferred).
- Corporate Member of CQI (CQP MCQI) or willing to work towards it (Preferred).
- Diploma or Degree in Quality or related Management field (Preferred).
- L6S experienced (Preferred).
