Accellency is looking for an experienced Investor Relations & Capital Markets Consultant to join our team in London or Paris at Vice President or Director level. This is a senior advisory role offering direct exposure to CEOs, CFOs, Heads of Investor Relations, private equity Partners and investment professionals across some of Europe's leading listed companies and some of the world's largest private equity firms.

You will lead mandates independently, advising clients on some of their most important investor communication challenges - from defining or repositioning an equity story and preparing a Capital Markets Day, to developing an Investor Relations strategy, preparing senior management for the market or supporting a private equity portfolio company ahead of an exit. You will also work closely with Accellency's Partners on our largest and most strategic client relationships.

The breadth of our client base means that you will work across different companies, sectors and investment situations, while developing trusted relationships with senior decision-makers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will lead a broad range of strategic Investor Relations assignments across listed companies, private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Leading client mandates, taking responsibility for the quality of the analysis, recommendations and final deliverables
  • Advising senior management teams on their Investor Relations strategy, equity story and investment case
  • Analysing companies, sectors, financial performance and valuation
  • Reviewing and strengthening companies' equity stories and investment cases using Accellency's proprietary ESTEX® methodology
  • Conducting detailed peer, market and investor benchmarking
  • Developing Investor Relations strategies and strategic recommendations
  • Leading the development of content and messaging for Capital Markets Days, Investor Days and financial results
  • Conducting and analysing investor perception studies and translating findings into actionable recommendations for management
  • Developing presentations, management scripts, talking points and investor Q&A
  • Preparing and coaching CEOs, CFOs and other senior executives for investor communications, including results presentations, Capital Markets Days, Investor Days, roadshows, investor meetings and Q&A
  • Analysing private equity investment strategies, portfolio performance and value-creation approaches
  • Advising private equity firms on their communication with institutional investors
  • Leading equity-story and exit-readiness assignments for private equity portfolio companies
  • Managing project teams and reviewing the work of more junior consultants
  • Working closely with Accellency's Partners on our largest and most strategic client mandates

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for candidates with approximately 5-10 years of professional experience. We are particularly interested in candidates coming from:

  • Equity research
  • Investment banking
  • Investor Relations within a listed company
  • Strategy consulting
  • Institutional sales / capital markets

You should have:

  • A proven ability to interact confidently and build credibility with senior executives and investment professionals
  • The ability to understand a new company, sector or investment strategy quickly
  • The ability to form a point of view, develop strategic recommendations and confidently advise clients
  • Strong project-management skills and the ability to lead client mandates independently
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • The ability to analyse complex financial and strategic information and translate it into clear, compelling messages
  • Experience managing and developing more junior team members
  • Intellectual curiosity and sound judgement
  • The ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment and manage several assignments simultaneously
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with excellent command of English
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and exceptional attention to detail

WHAT WOULD BE A PLUS

  • Fluency in one or more languages in addition to English
  • Deep expertise in one or two industry sectors, developed through previous professional experience
