We’re working with a leading FinTech technology company, to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager to lead their .NET engineering capability. This is a senior role reporting into the CTO, with responsibility for people leadership, technical oversight, and delivery accountability. It’s well suited to someone who has progressed from a strong .NET engineering background into management and still enjoys being close to architecture, cloud platforms, and modern engineering practices.
You’ll oversee multiple development teams working on cloud‑based products, ensuring high‑quality delivery while continuously improving engineering standards, processes, and tooling. You’ll be expected to provide credible technical leadership across .NET, Azure, CI/CD, and DevOps, and to guide teams through complex technical and delivery challenges.
Key responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop development team leads and engineers
- Own the delivery of .NET applications, ensuring quality, performance, and scalability
- Provide technical leadership across solution design, architecture, and cloud deployment (Azure)
- Define and improve engineering standards, tooling, and development practices
- Champion Agile delivery and continuous improvement across teams
- Drive modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
- Review delivery metrics and produce meaningful reporting on team and delivery health
- Collaborate closely with Product, QA, Project Management, and senior stakeholders
- Manage delivery risks, dependencies, and estimates across multiple workstreams
- Support incident resolution, technical decision‑making, and root‑cause analysis when required
- Oversee third‑party suppliers and ensure delivery aligns with agreed scope and budgets
- Strong background as a .NET engineer (C#, .NET Framework; VB.NET beneficial)
- Proven experience in a Development Manager or Engineering Manager role
- Solid experience designing and delivering solutions in Microsoft Azure
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Experience leading teams through change and scaling engineering capability
- Confident people leader with experience in performance management and coaching
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on problem solving
- Comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
