Are you a hands-on Development Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background who enjoys solving complex problems and bringing products to life? Join a well-established UK medical device manufacturer and play a key role in developing innovative products from concept through to verification, validation, and launch.
What Youll Be Doing
- Develop and improve medical devices with a focus on performance, safety, reliability, and compliance
- Support the full product development lifecycle (concept – prototype – validation – production)
- Apply risk analysis & robust design tools including DFMEA and design reviews
- Lead problem-solving / root cause investigations
- Maintain technical documentation including Design History Files (DHF)
- Plan and support Verification & Validation (V&V) testing and reporting
- Create and update 3D CAD models and engineering drawings (SolidWorks / Creo or similar)
- Work closely with manufacturing partners, suppliers, Quality & Regulatory teams
What Were Looking For
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- Experience in regulated products (medical devices preferred)
- Strong understanding of risk management / DFMEA
- CAD experience (SolidWorks, Creo etc.)
- PLM/ERP exposure
