Principal UX Designer | EdTech SaaS | £80,000 | London (Hybrid)

We're working with a globally recognised EdTech business, one that has been shaping education for over a century and today serves millions of educators across 100+ countries, on a genuinely exciting Principal UX hire.

This isn't a pixel-pushing role. The business is in the middle of a significant transformation and needs a Principal UX Designer who thinks in systems, challenges the status quo, and brings visionary thinking to a team that's ready to be led.

The opportunity

You’ll join a global UX team of 15 seasoned designers and researchers, working hands-on across the full design lifecycle from strategic discovery through to delivery. But what makes this role stand out is the level of influence on offer. The Head of Design wants someone who will push back, bring new ideas to the table, and help shape how the entire organisation thinks about product design. If you’re waiting to be told what to do, this isn’t the role for you.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll own design output across your streams end to end, wireframes, prototypes, service maps, logic flows, while also helping to define global design processes, govern the design system, and set the standard for what good looks like across UK and international teams. You’ll act as a peer to senior Product and business stakeholders, using data and logic to keep scope focused and decisions grounded.

What we’re looking for

5+ years in UX or Product Design, ideally within a SaaS environment undergoing transformation. You’re an expert in Figma and Information Architecture, you understand KPIs and business outcomes, and you’re as comfortable in a leadership conversation as you are deep in a complex user flow. You lead from the front, mentor those around you, and thrive with high autonomy.
