We’re looking for a Quality Engineer who enjoys being close to real engineering work and has enough SolidWorks experience to understand designs, review drawings, and support product improvements. If you like ensuring products are reliable, compliant, and built to a high standard — while still being involved in hands-on engineering — this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Driving quality across the full product lifecycle from concept through to production
- Reviewing 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks to verify design accuracy and manufacturability
- Supporting new product development and continuous improvements
- Performing validation and verification testing on industrial hardware
- Leading quality investigations: NCRs, CAPA, root cause analysis & corrective actions
- Maintaining and improving internal quality management systems (ISO9001)
- Supporting external audits and certification processes (including ATEX where applicable)
- Creating and updating quality documentation, inspection reports and customer-facing materials
- Collaborating with mechanical, electronics and production teams
- Managing revision control and ensuring accurate change documentation
What You Bring:
- Degree or equivalent in Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing or similar engineering discipline
- Strong background in quality engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- SolidWorks experience — ability to navigate 3D models and review drawings
- Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, risk assessments, root cause analysis & problem-solving methods
- Good understanding of DFM/DFA and general manufacturing processes
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Nice-to-have: ATEX exposure, supplier quality experience, test planning, revision control systems
