Responsibilities

• Supporting new product development and improvements to existing designs
• Working on portable, handheld devices (battery powered, graphical display)
• Creating 3D concepts, 2D drawings, material selections & prototypes
• Running tolerance analysis and designing for manufacture
• Validating designs through testing and preparing for production launch
• Collaborating with electronics & software engineers
• Updating internal quality processes & supporting external audits (including ATEX)
• Producing accurate customer‑facing documentation
• Managing revision control and supporting production changes

What You Bring ✅

• Degree or equivalent level in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of industrial mechanical design experience
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Self‑motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
• Nice‑to‑have: ATEX experience, product certification work, revision control systems, aesthetic design
