Are you a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving problems, working on-site, and delivering high-quality technical solutions?
We're recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join an innovative engineering business developing and deploying specialist water technology systems across the UK. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, combining workshop assembly, installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and technical support.
The Role
You'll split your time between the workshop and customer sites, building, testing, installing and maintaining bespoke engineering systems for both commercial and residential applications. You'll work independently and as part of a close-knit engineering team, ensuring every installation is completed to the highest standard.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a practical, multi-skilled engineering role with regular travel and genuine variety.
What You'll Be Doing
✔ Building and assembling mechanical, electrical and plumbing-based systems
✔ Installing, commissioning and servicing equipment across customer sites nationwide
✔ Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance
✔ Testing equipment and completing quality checks before deployment
✔ Working safely in accordance with site RAMS and procedures
✔ Supporting continuous improvement of products, processes and installation methods
✔ Assisting with new product development and technical improvements
✔ Maintaining workshop equipment and ensuring a safe, organised working environment
✔ Supporting the training and development of colleagues where required
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Installation Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similar
- Strong practical skills across electrical, mechanical and/or plumbing systems
- Experience fault finding and troubleshooting technical equipment
- Comfortable working independently and travelling throughout the UK
- A proactive, customer-focused attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- Electrical installation qualifications
- Plumbing qualifications
- CSCS Card (Blue or Gold preferred)
- Experience working with water treatment, rainwater harvesting, grey water, pumps or similar fluid handling systems
