Java / DevOps | Co-Founder & Director at Accelero Office 3 days – WFH 2 days P/W Manchester area We are partnered with a global Fintech business that is focused on expanding its UK team, with offices in America and the Manchester area. As the company undergoes a significant growth phase, we are seeking a Head of Platform Engineering who will play a pivotal role in designing, managing, and scaling our SaaS service cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions. Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals. Evaluate and integrate appropriate cloud services and technologies. Implement best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and cost management. Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for the cloud environment. Stay updated on cloud & DevOps trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Mentor and lead a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering. Proven leadership experience in managing and scaling cloud infrastructure. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure. Experience with Linux (preferably Redhat, but other distributions are acceptable). Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Terraform. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Knowledge of network engineering is advantageous. Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
