We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Bias) to join a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a key shift-based role focused on delivering reactive and preventative maintenance to ensure safe, efficient and continuous production.
The Role
As Maintenance Technician, you will be supporting production operations by maintaining plant reliability, driving fault resolution, and helping deliver long-term engineering improvements. Working closely with operations and engineering teams, you will play a vital role in maximising equipment performance and throughput.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shift-based reactive and preventative maintenance activities
- Ensure plant, equipment and operators are working safely and efficiently
- Carry out root cause fault finding and implement both short and long-term solutions
- Support production changeovers and provide coaching to operations teams
- Complete testing and inspections to ensure plant compliance and reliability
- Maintain clear communication between shift engineers, day engineering teams and management
- Perform routine maintenance and lubrication of equipment
- Identify and escalate potential equipment failures before breakdown occurs
- Complete daily shift reports and maintenance logs
About You
- Proven experience working as a shift engineer within a high-volume, continuous manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical engineering background with experience across hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
- Basic electrical and controls understanding
- Strong workshop and practical engineering skills
- IPAF trained / comfortable working at height
- Strong health & safety awareness with ability to risk assess tasks effectively
