FPGA Engineer Cambridge area (Hybrid) Up to £80,000 (dependent on experience)

We’re looking for an experienced FPGA Engineer to join a highly technical engineering consultancy delivering cutting-edge projects across radar, communications, and advanced sensing applications. This is an opportunity to work on genuinely complex, real-world technology programmes within a multidisciplinary team of hardware, software, systems and DSP engineers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing high-quality FPGA and DSP solutions across the full development lifecycle
  • Working predominantly with AMD/Xilinx devices and the Vivado toolchain
  • Translating customer requirements into robust FPGA-based implementations
  • Collaborating closely with electronics, firmware and systems teams
  • Supporting technical discussions, design reviews and project planning
  • Engaging directly with clients on technical problem solving and solution development

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong FPGA development experience using HDL (VHDL and/or Verilog)
  • Experience with AMD Vivado (other FPGA platforms also considered)
  • Solid grounding in Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
  • Experience with simulation, verification and test
  • Understanding of RF systems would be highly beneficial
  • Consultancy experience or a collaborative, adaptable mindset
