Accelerate Personnel are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a HGV 2 Dust Cart Driver. You will be required to deliver an efficient and effective waste collection service for residents and businesses across the district. This is a Temp-Perm opportunity for a driver who values the environment, enjoys driving, and takes pride in leading a small team to support the delivery of this vital service. This role primarily involves driving a refuse collection vehicle and operating across multiple waste streams. You will also be expected to help with lifting when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting multiple waste streams in line with Council methods and arrangements.
- Working to prescribed health and safety requirements, ensuring no impact on the public while completing the round.
- Ensuring transport management requirements are met at all times.
- Supervising the designated crew throughout the round.
- Completing vehicle checks before and after each shift and promptly reporting faults.
- Working as part of the team to meet service standards, targets, and performance indicators.
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with Category C entitlement
- CPC & Tachograph Card
- Previous driving experience
- Good communication skills and teamwork
- Ability to help with manual lifting when required
