Accelerate Personnel is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client for an experienced and reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver to join their team based in the Norwich area. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver seeking ongoing day work, with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will be responsible for completing deliveries of a wide range of products to customers across the UK. You will ensure all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures while providing a high standard of customer service. This role involves regular manual handling, including loading and unloading goods, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting. During quieter periods, you will also be expected to assist with general warehouse and yard duties, supporting the wider team where required. Flexibility and a positive attitude towards a varied workload are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out multi-drop and scheduled deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
  • Load and unload vehicles, ensuring goods are handled carefully and securely.
  • Complete all relevant delivery paperwork accurately.
  • Perform daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all delivery locations.
  • Adhere to all road traffic legislation, driver hours regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with warehouse and yard duties during quieter periods.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company.
Requirements
  • Full UK Driving Licence with valid Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) entitlement.
  • Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous commercial 7.5 Tonne driving experience is essential.
  • Good knowledge of UK road traffic laws and drivers' hours regulations.
  • Physically fit and capable of carrying out heavy manual handling duties.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional with a positive work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
