Location: Accelerate Centre of Excellence & Innovation, London

Remuneration: £3,455

Time commitment: 6 days per annum plus additional informal visits to our services and community

Term of Office: 3 years plus 2

We are an innovative, dynamic, forward-thinking social enterprise whose ambition is to boldly transform chronic wound, lymphoedema and mobility outcomes for as many people as possible. We engage and motivate people in their personal journey, every step of the way, and can demonstrate having a really positive impact on people’s lives. Our approaches are informed by many years of experience by an amazing group of people, but also by research in the field undertaken in our Centre of Excellence for the most challenging and complex chronic wound and lymphoedema cases.

Having been successful in East of London, we want to increase our reach and bring benefits to more people nationally. We are looking for a NED with either People and Organisational Development skills or Strategic Commissioning experience, preferably in the NHS, to support us to deliver our ambitions.

We are looking to appoint a NED who shares the values and vision of Accelerate CIC, is supportive of the organisation and what it is wanting to achieve, assists the organisation to develop new perspectives, willing to give access to their expertise and wisdom, and able to critique and challenge in a way that helps Accelerate grow.

You will have an ability to translate your skills and experience into supporting the growth and direction of Accelerate. You will have a passion for equity of access to healthcare and understand the shackles that the healthcare system can often present. You will be personally motivated to be a driver of change to meet the needs of our communities.

As a Non-Executive Director your key role is to shape the strategic priorities, to provide constructive challenge to ensure our long-term success and ensure this is underpinned by an inclusive and respectful culture.
