Main Purpose of Role
To deliver exceptional service to our MGA Members across the UK and Europe. To be an integral part of the Underwriting team to deliver portfolio management, onboarding and underwriting relationship building. The role will involve reviewing underwriting guides, policy wordings, binder referrals, new product development and portfolio managing a book of business which you will be responsible for.
Key Accountabilities
- Take ownership and responsibility for your MGA Members.
- Demonstrate portfolio product knowledge and expertise, providing guidance, coaching, mentoring and taking referrals from your MGA Members.
- Collaboration and Communication are critical in this role.
- Build trusted long-term relationships internally with your peers & externally with our customers.
- Proactively underwriting approach.
- Production of Underwriting summary reports for new Members, Products or Underwriting Performance.
- Deliver against underwriting and financial measures as outlined in the plan.

Qualifications
- University Degree preferred
- Educated to at least A level standard
- ACII qualified or making progress towards the preferred
Experience
- 10+ years’ experience in underwriting roles with a good understanding of portfolio management.
- Experience of industry and market systems and processing is desirable but not essential.
- Good knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience of identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Experience of working to deadlines and managing others’ priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required; other European languages are an asset.
