Accelerant is looking for an Exposure Data Manager to join our Analytics Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and a strong understanding of various insurance products and risks. As an Exposure Data Manager at Accelerant, you will play a key role in establishing best practices for collecting and organizing exposure information from various internal and external partners.
In this role, you will work with the actuarial, product and tech teams to guide exposure data architecture while being a point person to answer various questions on exposure data issues.
You will work alongside our operations and actuarial team to establish exposure data standards for various lines of business to be leveraged for analytics and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate and communicate with internal teams to understand the various exposure needs for analytics and regulatory compliance.
- Create exposure data requirements for various complex lines of business while working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with external partners on the best way to extract and organize exposure information.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including actuaries, program managers, data scientists and data engineers to identify challenges and provide data-architecture strategies.
- Address exposure data-related issues and propose solutions to improve data quality and efficiency.
- Provide guidance during onboarding of MGAs
- Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of P&C experience in a data-focused role
- Experience in or supporting Actuarial roles
- Experience working with MGAs
- Skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong P&C background and understanding of insurance coverages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
