Accedo Care is looking for a highly organised, quality-focused Care Manager to oversee four supported living services in Hertfordshire, supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs and/or physical disabilities to live safely, independently and with dignity. This is a high-impact role for a leader who knows how to run safe, effective and person-centred services. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to drive service quality, staff performance, compliance, and positive outcomes across multiple services.

The role
As our Care Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation of four supported living services and help ensure the highest standards of care, compliance and team performance. You will:
- Deputise for the Registered Manager and support the smooth running of the services
- Lead, supervise and develop support staff through induction, coaching, supervisions and appraisals
- Manage rotas, staffing arrangements and payroll administration
- Ensure support plans, risk assessments and care documentation are accurate, current and person-centred
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, dignity, privacy, rights, fulfilment and independence
- Oversee medication systems, service audits and quality assurance activity
- Support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality support in line with policies and procedures
- Work closely with families, professionals and multi-disciplinary teams
- Help maintain a safe, homely and well-managed environment for the people we support
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership during out-of-hours situations
What we're looking for
We want to hear from candidates with experience in roles such as: Care Manager, Supported Living Manager, Service Manager, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager, Team Manager, Social Care Manager. You should have:
- Experience managing staff within supported living, social care or health and social care
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, care planning and compliance
- Experience leading teams, managing rotas and maintaining service quality
- Confidence with audits, risk management, medication oversight and incident reporting
- A calm, professional and solutions-focused leadership style
- Excellent communication, organisation and people management skills
- Flexibility to travel across services in Hertfordshire
