ACCA is committed to a workplace culture which is inclusive, diverse, human and connected. We are currently looking for 2 Re-accreditation Officers on a full-time, fixed term basis until June 2026. This position sits within the Quality & Recognition department based in Glasgow.

The Accreditation team enhances the value and status of ACCA's qualifications by focusing on the quality assurance of learning providers, employers and higher educational institutions. Located within this area, the Re-accreditations Officer will be part of a specialist team responsible for reviewing and processing renewal and monitoring submissions from the three stakeholders above as well as monitoring the performance of ACCA's students. Reporting to the Team Manager, the post holder will contribute to the successful delivery of all operations and projects within the team.

The Job

  • Reviewing and processing renewal and monitoring submissions from learning partners, employers and professional bodies while ensuring compliance with quality assurance regulations including the maintenance of ALP and Approved Employer directories and internal systems.
  • Review the performance of students by Approved Learning Partner (ALP) based on the prior educational background (programmes accredited for exemptions).
  • Acting in accordance with recommendations from ACCA regulators, ensuring that ACCA continues to meet regulatory compliance in the area of accreditation.
  • Contributing to regular internal and external meetings to monitor accreditation policies and identify internal training needs in the application of accreditation policies. In doing so, it may be necessary to create and deliver training programmes and resource materials to meet training needs.
  • Providing advice on ACCA's accreditation policy to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including ACCA's national offices, Student Support, students, learning providers, educational institutions and employers.
  • Participating in the continuing development, testing and implementation of the department's IT systems.
  • Supporting the Re-accreditations Team Manager with the implementation of systems and procedures which support the efficient operation of ACCA's accreditation policies.
  • Contributing to the effective delivery of ACCA's objectives and strategies and undertaking such other duties as may arise from time to time.

The Person

  • Relevant work experience in a customer facing or service environment preferably with an education/membership organisation.
  • Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and database manipulation.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic, with the ability to work on own initiative and flexibly as part of a wider team.
  • Experience of applying appropriate judgement in situations within the remit of the role.
  • Receptive to working in a changing environment and willing to take on cross-team responsibilities as required.
  • Possess excellent organisation skills and a methodical approach to work; able to draft letters and reports to a high standard.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels advising senior management and senior individuals in business as well as students and trainees.
  • Work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines while dealing with competing priorities.
  • Aware of, and interested in, the changing environment of accountancy training and education.
