We're currently looking for an International Editor for AB magazine on a part time (17.5 hours/week), on a permanent basis. This position sits within the Content & Publications team. We are flexible on the location of this role.

The editor will commission and edit content, including interviews, insights, op-eds, articles, audio and video, for our international editions of AB magazine.

The Job

  • Planning, sourcing and managing content through all stages of production to the final product.
  • Working with the other editors to share content across the different editions of AB where appropriate, ensuring high editorial standards and content produced in line with ACCA's strategy.
  • Maintaining AB's profile across social media.
  • Supporting the wider editorial team.

The Person

  • Deep experience as an editor of business or professional publications with knowledge of the business and professional world, ideally with specific knowledge of the accountancy profession or at least the ability to quickly grasp the key issues.
  • Experience in making sound editorial judgments and sufficient experience and knowledge to act as final sign-off for published material.
  • The ability to quickly understand complex issues, ranging from the technical through to the political and strategic.
  • Experience in working effectively in a multidisciplinary team, including design, production and advertising colleagues.
  • Creativity in terms of ideas for content, and also in visual terms enabling effective working with design colleagues.
  • Ability to combine traditional journalistic skills with corporate strategies, aims and ambitions.
  • The drive, determination and diplomacy required to effectively manage a range of varied and sometimes conflicting objectives.
  • Ability to work under pressure, speedily and to deadline.
