ACCA is committed to a workplace culture which is inclusive, diverse, human and connected. We're currently recruiting a Regional Head of Learning and Education on a full-time, fixed-term basis until 31st March 2027. We are flexible on the location of this role throughout the UK.

The Regional Head of Learning & Education (RHOLE) will be responsible for devising regional strategies for, and ensuring the development and implementation of professional learning and education services in the region to include:

  • Ensuring that ACCA is recognised as part of national education and qualification frameworks
  • Increasing the quality of tuition provision
  • Carrying out activities to improve student performance and progression in exams
  • Supporting student to member conversion initiatives
  • Scanning the professional learning and development landscape for members
  • Supporting or leading on high level relationship management with strategically important, regional learning and education partners

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Implement appropriate learning support in the market with both students and partners
  • Act as a conduit in ensuring that solutions developed to support students and partners are relevant and appropriate
  • Monitor exam entry levels and coordinate activities to ensure achievement of targets
  • Support faculty at learning providers to improve student exam outcomes
  • Support the relationships teams in devising and delivering the agendas for educational conferences
  • Support or lead on the high-level relationship management with a small number of regionally important ALPs and/or universities
  • Ensure the development of appropriate professional development support and ACCA Learning to support member development and satisfaction
  • Ensure local relevance of global solutions developed to support members
  • Work with the regional director and market heads to develop and implement the education strategy for region
  • Review and interpret data/analytics on performance for education providers to advise market heads
  • Input into the market and regional ACCA business plans
  • Contribute to the development of ACCA's global educational policies and products
  • Work with national and regional regulators to ensure that the various ACCA qualifications are recognised
  • Support education providers in determining how to revise their syllabi
  • Work closely with universities to support ACCA's universities' delivery
  • Work with the recognition team to support achievement and maintenance of Mutual Recognition Agreements
  • Work with the accreditation team to review and monitor learning providers

We're looking for someone with:

  • A postgraduate or professional accounting qualification holder with relevant work experience in the professional education industry
  • A strong understanding of professional education, preferably in accountancy
  • Excellent and demonstrable track record in collaboration to achieve success
  • Demonstrates commercial and business acumen
  • Demonstrates a personal presence, commands respect from others and builds effective working relationships
  • Experience of formulating strategy and developing and improving structures and processes
  • Knowledge and experience of managing stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic
  • Background in cross-functional working and demonstrate good influencing and negotiating skills
  • Experience in achieving results through others
  • Articulate, presentable and professional with experience of effectively presenting to large groups
  • Experience in motivating and managing people across a global portfolio
