ACCA is committed to a workplace culture which is inclusive, diverse, human and connected. We are looking to recruit a Case Presenter on a full‑time permanent basis. This position sits within ACCA's Regulation & Conduct Department (Adjudication Team) and is based at the ACCA London office. The post holder will work from home, but is expected to travel to London when required.

The Case Presenter will be a qualified Solicitor Advocate or Barrister with a current practising certificate, with experience of presenting contested matters before courts and/or tribunals.

The Job
  • Preparing and presenting cases of various types and complexity before ACCA's committee hearings.
  • Undertaking post‑hearing work, including reviewing committee reasons for decisions, and preparing or responding to subsequent applications for permission to appeal.
  • Advising Investigating Officers / Managers on investigation conduct, evidential issues and drafting allegations, ensuring cases align with applicable case law, legal precedent, policy and relevant hearing outcomes.
  • Conducting pre‑Independent Assessor reviews of case referral reports prior to submission to Assessors.
  • Providing ad‑hoc advice to the investigation teams, offering guidance on case strategy, evidential matters, and guidance for contentious and/or non‑contentious cases.
  • Contributing to shared learning across the team/department to ensure continuous improvement and consistency of advice.
  • Updating the case management and data reporting system as required.
  • Planning, managing and prioritising workload with a focus on supporting the department in meeting its team objectives.
The Person
  • A Barrister or Solicitor Advocate who holds a current practising certificate.
  • Significant advocacy experience, including persuasive oral advocacy and witness handling through cross‑examination.
  • Strong understanding of the public interest within a regulatory framework.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory law and practice, including rules of evidence and procedure.
  • Good understanding of data protection law, practice, and procedure.
  • Knowledge or ability to develop expertise in relation to judicial review procedures.
  • Experience of working within a Regulatory environment.
