Personal Tax Assistant – ACCA Careers, Bristol
Overview
A growing and successful accountancy practice based in Bristol is searching for a Personal Tax Assistant to join their tax team. The role focuses on delivering personal tax compliance services to a wide range of clients, with the opportunity to progress into client contact, portfolio management and broader tax planning advisory.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete personal tax and CGT returns
- Prepare PSA and SDLT clearances
- Register for self‑assessment and manage related communications
- Prepare trust tax returns and share transfer reliefs
- Handle over‑payment relief claims and other compliance tasks
- Support and learn wider tax planning and advisory work as experience grows
Qualifications & Experience
- Studying for or qualified to the ATT
- Experience in personal tax or a general accountancy background with a desire to specialise in tax
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills and a willingness to build client relationships
Salary & Benefits
£27,000 – £32,000, depending on experience, plus a competitive benefits package.
