We are seeking a motivated Management Accountant to join a reputable organisation. This role involves managing financial operations and supporting strategic decision-making in Southampton.

Responsibilities:
- Produce monthly management accounts and other financial reporting across a range of entities within the group in accordance with strict deadlines.
- Build out general ledger accounting structure reflecting new entity reporting structures; build out accounting processes and reporting ensuring appropriate internal controls are established and maintained throughout the business.
- Assist in implementing continuous improvement in the quality of financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, drive the implementation of that automation and review and build out the control environment.
- Undertake ad hoc financial analyses and other activities as required.
Profile / Qualifications:
- A qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge would be an advantage.
- A minimum of two years experience working in a similar role.
- Experience of setting up and building out reporting and controls around general ledger systems including all feeder accounting processes and end user reports including KPIs.
- Capable of working independently, being pro-active and a good relationship builder both within Finance and with the wider business.
- Good analytical ability and commercial acumen and the ability to make constructive challenge.
- Experience of analysing monthly results, investigating anomalies and providing high-quality and insightful commentary.
- Capable of developing and implementing cost centre reporting information for use in communicating costs.
- Experience in designing and implementing process and reporting automation.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Job Offer:
- Competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £55,000 per annum.
