What you’ll be doing:
- Obtaining, cleansing and analysing large data files to provide insight on historical spend and identify opportunities in cost and operational efficiency. This may also include providing information on future demand.
- Attending stakeholder meetings and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- With support from the project team, developing commercial models and pricing templates/bid sheets for sourcing initiatives, either by using existing templates or creating new models.
- Supporting the development of sourcing recommendations by providing commercial analysis of final costs versus budget and baseline outlined in the sourcing strategy, evidencing enabled business value.
- Regularly engaging with stakeholders to elicit information and define scope of analysis.
- Providing support to internal and external (supplier) meetings to explain data analysis as requested.
- Supporting the Analytics team to promote and embed technology through championing systems and running training sessions.
What you should bring to the role:
- Degree in a numerical field such as Accountancy, Business, Mathematics or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in a similar role.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Strong communication/stakeholder engagement skills and ability to prioritise/multitask to produce required deliverables efficiently.
- Good understanding of commercial business and experience in the relevant functional area.
- Advanced knowledge of Visual Basic to create macros.
