The Payroll Specialist will manage end‑to‑end UK and EMEA payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments while maintaining compliance with HMRC regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, collaboration across HR and Finance, and a proactive approach to improving payroll operations in a fast‑paced tech environment.

Responsibilities
  • Process monthly payroll for UK and EMEA employees, including starters, leavers, bonuses, and statutory payments.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely submission of RTI reports to HMRC.
  • Liaise with HR to ensure employee data is up‑to‑date and correctly reflected in payroll systems.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and support Finance with month‑end and year‑end reporting.
  • Manage pension contributions, benefits and other deductions.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding payslips, tax codes and other payroll‑related matters.
  • Stay current with UK and EMEA payroll legislation and ensure compliance.
  • Support audits and implement process improvements where needed.
Profile
  • Proven experience in UK and EMEA payroll processing, ideally within a tech or fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of UK and EMEA payroll legislation, including PAYE, NI, pensions, and statutory leave.
  • Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, PayFit, Sage, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
