Overview
The Finance Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the accounting and finance department within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Receiving a weekly sales report, checking and creating subsequent invoices
- Moving stock on accounting system to reflect physical movements
- Creating invoices for multiple customers
- Allocation of customer payments
- Producing a weekly debtors report
- Chasing any outstanding debt
- Establishing root cause why customers are not paying (e.g. shortage on delivery, invoice not uploaded, etc.)
- Working closely with sales agent/fellow team members to investigate non-payment by customers
- Creating export invoices on an ad hoc basis
Profile / Qualifications
- A background in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Proficiency in financial software and tools
- An eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial tasks
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
