Join us as a Monitoring Insight Assurance Analyst in Home Ownership & Customer Borrowing

  • This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of protecting the bank and supporting with the design, development, and undertaking of assurance activity on an end-to-end basis
  • In this collaborative role within Assurance & Monitoring, you'll work with a number of teams to help deliver trusted, data-driven monitoring and assurance insight and reporting, strengthening end-to-end control and risk management and enabling smarter decision making
  • You’ll work from home most of the time, coming into the office a minimum of twice a month

What you’ll do

This role will see you working closely with stakeholders across the business to source data, helping to shape and enhance our data-led monitoring and assurance approach. You’ll develop and maintain ideas on how to use data and build functionality to enable teams to use it in their monitoring and assurance activity. You’ll plan and analyse data on operational conduct and regulatory risks, and identify insight that may suggest areas for improvement.

We’ll look to you to deliver against Home Ownership & Customer Borrowing actions, in line with the risk appetite and direction set by management, while supporting an effective and efficient assurance function that meets all policy, legal and regulatory requirements and expectations.

On Top Of This, You’ll Be

  • Delivering high quality reporting on assurance and monitoring outputs for senior stakeholders
  • Delivering data driven narratives and visualisation that shows key trends, risks and insights to inform assurance and monitoring activity
  • Improving assurance processes, procedures and methodologies, making sure that the methodology and supporting processes are consistent, up to date and fully aligned with our policy framework
  • Working to improve and support the assurance toolset to support a robust process that develops the right outcomes for the bank and customers
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of the Assurance & Monitoring data-led and risk-based assurance programme
  • Developing and supporting integrated system solutions using data and AI tools that drive efficiency savings

The skills you’ll need

You’ll need data and visualisation skills together with excellent communication skills as you’ll be building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the bank, developing and using these networks across internal and external organisations. You’ll need the ability to keep on top of developments in the data and AI space, adapt and drive forward improvements.

A background in assurance and risk management methodologies will be required, as will a good understanding of the application of operational risk in a financial services environment.

You’ll Also Bring

  • Experience of developing relationships with stakeholders and building positive working relationships
  • A good working knowledge of data, visualisation and insight tools within the bank, alongside an awareness of developments externally
  • The ability to influence at all levels
