Responsibilities
- The Senior Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting Manager reports to the CT Accounting Director and leads the EMEA team that provides accounting/tax related functions for a group of Corporate Trust clients.
- Directs processes and allocation of resources to ensure accurate and timely delivery of client reports.
- Manages relationships with clients, accounting firms and business partners.
- Directs and prioritizes processes to check for completeness and accuracy; provides guidance to teams to ensure accounting records comply with departmental policies and procedures.
- Resolves complex escalated issues from team members and serves as primary day-to-day escalation point for accounting inquiries.
- Provides guidance and reviews the work of team members; operates with full ownership of accounting processes and makes independent decisions.
- Leads the team in advanced accounting activities, including highly complex general ledger events, audits, and control environment maintenance; identifies process improvement opportunities.
- Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their contribution and professional growth as a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years of work experience within Corporate Trust or the securities industry.
- 8+ years of management experience preferred.
- Proven track record designing financial models, accounting processes and controls for structured finance products.
- Excellent judgement, communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to operate independently in a fast-paced global setting.
- Chartered Accountant; Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred.
- People leadership experience with a focus on developing staff and fostering teamwork.
