We are seeking a meticulous and results-driven Financial Controller to manage all financial aspects within a PE-backed manufacturing business in West Manchester. The successful candidate will ensure compliance, provide financial insights, and drive the financial performance of the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Oversee standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Analyse production costs, material usage, labour efficiency, and overheads.
- Partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
- Take part in the annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecasts.
- Support capital investment appraisals and ROI analysis.
- Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Manage and develop the site finance team.
Profile
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience working in a fast-paced international finance environment.
- Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, and/or engineering sector.
- Proven expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Experience in managing and leading finance teams effectively.
- Proficiency in financial systems and software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
