Role
We have a vacancy for a Corporate Tax Manager to work in our Tax team. This is a permanent role with opportunities for progression and a preference for fullâtime, but we also welcome applicants for a fourâday week. Clients will include:
- Large or listed companies
- Multiânational entities
- Familyâowned managed businesses
- Notâforâprofit bodies (e.g., schools, charities, membership organisations)
The role offers a mix of large or complex compliance work, crossâborder special and projectâbased work, and business development initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the tax partner and directors, overseeing a portfolio of existing clients and generating new work.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee corporation tax compliance work for the Manchester office and larger, complex clients.
- Develop relationships with clients and contacts; identify opportunities for additional services (corporate taxes, VAT, personal taxes, payroll taxes, corporate finance, etc.).
- Act with integrity, ensuring the firm's best interests are protected and policies for managing risk are followed.
- Provide analysis, identify areas for improvement in client processes, and recommend solutions.
- Treat colleagues with fairness and respect; provide feedback and coaching; participate in firmâwide initiatives.
- Own the financial performance of client and project work.
Role Requirements
- CTA or equivalent qualification â essential.
- Significant corporate tax and tax accounting experience on a range of advisory and compliance projects.
- Passion for client service and interest in developing new work.
