Description
- Record, process, and reconcile supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of supplier accounts
- Create and issue customer invoices in line with agreed terms
- Manage CIS returns and maintain accurate associated records
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC requirements
- Carry out daily banking and bank reconciliations
- Oversee general bookkeeping and maintain organised financial records
- Provide financial support and insight to the company director and site teams
- Assist with payroll preparation and processing as required
Profile
- Proven experience in a similar accounts role within the construction sector
- Comfortable working in an SME business
- Proficient in Sage 50 Accounts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
- Knowledge of CIS is essential
- Experience with payroll is desirable, but not essential
Job Offer
- Competitive salary £35,000 – £45,000 per annum (DOE)
- Full‐time, office‐based role (40 hours per week, 8:00am – 4:30pm) with flexibility on hours
- 33 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)
