Manager, Business Analyst – Insurance Operations & Domain Solutions, Technology & Transformation

Job Description

The Insurance team at Deloitte looks for a Business Analyst to lead project teams, bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, and ensure the delivered solutions meet client objectives. The role involves advising on business case and strategy, translating requirements, and delivering high‑quality deliverables across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead junior Business Analysts and contribute individually to successful engagement delivery and high‑quality client deliverables.
  • Conduct workshops and interviews to elicit and document business requirements.
  • Develop detailed acceptance criteria and functional design artefacts.
  • Assess and document business processes to support target‑state design.
  • Provide support for requirements gathering, process definition, industry best practices and project planning.
  • Deliver measurable business outcomes on time and within quality standards.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including Operations, Risk, IT, developers, testers and UI/UX teams.
  • Lead business development activities such as pre‑sales, bid preparation and client presentations.
  • Participate in practice development initiatives to grow the insurance practice and promote diversity and inclusion.
  • Pursue continuing education and maintain relevant certifications.

Qualifications

  • Experience within a leading insurer, broker, insurance technology or consulting firm with a track record of high‑performance, complex roles.
  • Experience in an insurance technology environment or design and delivery of an insurance platform application.
  • Strong understanding of key insurance processes such as General Insurance, London Market, Reinsurance, Claims, Billing, Finance & Risk Management.
  • Basic understanding of insurance processes across at least one line of business.
  • Interest in emerging technology and trends in insurance and financial services.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and conflict‑resolution skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading consulting bids and developing industry relationships.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., Business Analysis Foundation/Practitioner/Professional, PMI PBA).
  • Experience implementing AI‑driven solutions within the general insurance lifecycle (claims automation, fraud detection, risk assessment).
