This is an excellent opportunity for an AP Manager to take charge of end-to-end AP processes for a high-growth construction group in Central London. You will manage a team, lead on a systems implementation change, and be responsible for implementing controls and improving processes.
Our client is a small but well-established business, operating with four entities in the group across London. They pride themselves on their internal training and progression opportunities, with this role eventually evolving into a Finance Operations Manager title. Various members of staff have been in the business for over a decade, with a strong leadership and senior team.
Description
- Oversee the accounts payable function to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage and mentor the accounts payable team to meet performance targets.
- Ensure all invoices are processed accurately and within deadlines.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end processes.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Develop and implement process improvements for efficiency.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management.
Profile
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Previous experience managing a team.
- Experience within the construction industry highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Job Offer
