Overseeing statutory reporting, management accounts, tax, payroll, and transactions. Responsible for maintaining financial processes, controls, and safeguarding the company\’s assets. Client Details A new venture, setting up its finance function in Wolverhampton. Led by a highly talented and innovative board, this is an exciting time to partner with this company; setting the foundations for its future success. Description Liaise with external auditors, managing the audit process to ensure completion within the required deadlines. Lead and manage the accounting, transaction, and payroll teams. Oversee tax compliance, including VAT, corporation tax, and PAYE returns. Take overall responsibility for the accuracy, consistency, and timely submission of month-end management accounts. Own and review balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities and making recommendations. Prepare statutory accounts and assist in reporting to lenders/shareholders. Manage end-to-end transaction processes, including debtors, creditors, and banking. Profile Strong leadership and people management skills to motivate, coach, and drive performance across various levels in the team. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to convey financial information effectively to diverse stakeholders.
