Michael Page are supporting one of our key clients who specialise across the Financial Services sector and are based in London. The role requires an experienced Head of Financial Accounting to join the Finance team on an interim basis to report into the CFO and will oversee and manage two Accountants.

Our client is a well-established Exchange that offers multiple services to their customers. They are an idolised company that provides a great opportunity for a capable and experienced Head of Financial Accounting.
Description
As Head of Financial Accounting, your key duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Oversee all financial accounting activities for the Group, including clear entities, consolidated group reporting, and adherence to IFRS standards.
- Manage a team of two, providing guidance and oversight for revenue and project accountants while collaborating with Finance peers to optimise resources and ensure seamless support for business partnering and budgeting.
- Lead month-end close processes, including journal entries, trial balance preparation, ledger reconciliations, and statutory reporting to the Hong Kong parent company.
- Supervise the preparation of annual financial statements, monitor IFRS developments, and act as the key liaison with auditors, tax advisors, and regulators for reporting and compliance matters.
- Calculate and monitor regulatory capital requirements, prepare external regulatory reports, and strengthen financial controls to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Provide business partnering support, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and deliver ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
Profile
- Will be immediately available to start the role
- Will be open to an interim ongoing position
- Must be fully Qualified within ACA and come from a Big4 background
- Management experience as the role requires you to oversee and manage two Qualified Accountants
- Regulatory capital and tax reporting experience within an FS organisation
- Experience with IFRS technical accounting issues
- Oracle Financials and Hyperion Budgeting experience
