The Business Services and Outsourcing team is essential to meeting our clients’ evolving requirements. Overview
As an Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality financial reporting services while developing your technical expertise in a supportive team environment. We offer excellent training and development opportunities to help you grow professionally.
You’ll work with a diverse client base—from SMEs to listed companies—under UK GAAP and IFRS frameworks. Your responsibilities include managing a portfolio of complex clients, preparing statutory accounts, and leading financial reporting advisory engagements.
You’ll also oversee client relationships, monitor project performance, plan resource needs, and review work prepared by junior team members. In addition to client delivery, you’ll contribute to the Northern Financial Reporting management team, supporting strategic growth, coaching and mentoring, business development, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and risk management procedures.
You’ll Be Someone With
- Qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a management role.
- Strong working knowledge of UK and international reporting standards (including UK GAAP and UK‑adopted IFRS) and related financial reporting requirements.
- Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, consolidations and cash flows.
- Business development experience – able to contribute to the identification and conversion of opportunities to services.
