About the Role: As a senior manager within the FRAS team, you will provide accounting, financial reporting, and financeâfunction support to public sector organisations, helping them navigate complex regulatory and financial challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead nonâaudit engagements and review project outputs, focusing on quality and reputation.
- Apply problemâsolving skills to client and team issues, such as implementing new accounting standards, reviewing financial reporting and governing financial management practices.
- Take on wider responsibilities within the team through additional training and service expansion.
- Play a proactive role in business development â creating opportunities, preparing proposals, drafting contracts, and generating new service ideas.
- Oversee and develop the performance of the team to the highest standard.
- Manage project budgets and finances.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the team, other service lines, and clients.
- Continuously strive to push yourself and the business further, knowing you are supported at every stage.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA).
- Postâqualification experience in external audit or consulting for local authorities and health bodies, or experience within local government or health finance functions.
- Excellent grasp of IFRS accounting standards and their application in the public sector.
- Strong knowledge of publicâsector financial reporting.
- Project management and teamâleading experience.
- Experience leading and developing relationships and coaching junior colleagues.
- Businessâdevelopment experience is beneficial.
