An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join Rolls-Royce Submarines. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the finance functions manager role gives exposure to the business operations through being part of the central functional finance team. The role will have exposure to functional controls, alignment of policies and processes, and the continuing development of our transition towards integrated Management Information Systems.
The Submarines business along with the finance function is strengthening to support future growth, and this is increasing demand for finance support in terms of quality management data, control, governance, and financial acumen.

The business operates in a highly regulated environment through security requirements, the operating of nuclear site licenses, and working on government-nominated contracts, so needing to comply with Single Source Contracting Regulations.

What you will be doing: You will participate in monthly functional business reviews, preparation of performance data, and presentation to the first line. Be responsible for performance measurement - weekly & monthly KPIs & performance against targets. Ensure our finance policies and processes are up to date, relevant, and aligned to Rolls-Royce and defence management systems. Lead our continuing development towards our transition to an integrated finance Management Information Systems. Develop relations and plans with our external statutory auditors, to include the interim, hard close, and year-end audit processes. Actively work with the business and associated finance business partners, supporting the Improvement Journey to Process Excellence and proactively engaging in improvement activities. Lead and develop the functional risk process to ensure that finance is compliant and integrated with Submarines and the wider finance function. Lead and develop the functional business continuity and sustainability plans.

Contract review process experience (IFRS 15). Experience of business planning, reporting, and controls. Government Accounting & SSCR experience.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines, you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
