Amazon Fuse & Mobile Business Development (MBD) Finance Team is seeking an innovative, high business judgement, analytical and strategic finance leader, who is passionate about accelerating Amazon\’s growth. This is a unique opportunity to join a centralized corporate business development team working on strategic partnerships to accelerate Amazon\’s flywheel by distributing Amazon\’s digital services. Specifically, the Amazon Fuse & Mobile Business Development (MBD) team is a group chartered with distribution of Amazon\’s digital services through partnerships with Mobile Operators, MVPDs (video distributors) and OEMs worldwide.
This business-partnering role serves as the Finance Lead for Europe, Africa and Middle East (EMEA) and supports some of Amazon\’s most high-impact commercial partnerships in those regions. You will need to work collaboratively with internal finance teams to understand their business priorities and economics. You will develop research and analysis of industries, potential partners and competitors, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior management. We dive deep and provide thoughtful and rigorous analysis, yet are creative, adaptable and action-oriented to drive growth by directly influencing leaders\’ decision-making.
The ideal candidate is a first-principles thinker, enjoys solving complex problems, dealing with ambiguity, and working effectively with cross-functional teams. Key job responsibilities
Lead Finance Planning process for Europe, Africa and Middle East 3rd Party Fuse partnerships.
Influence senior leaders through financial insight generation, to help them achieve business goals and accelerate business growth.
Independently create new financial models, in order to maximize the strategic impact of the MBD partnerships.
Create new methods in assessing incremental value in strategic partnerships and customer segments, willingness to invest in acquiring and retaining customers acquired through 3rd Party Partnerships, and assess return on strategic investments.
Develop best in class metrics and benchmarking mechanisms to track efficiency and progress towards team strategic goals.
Partner with marketing measurement and XCM Finance teams to develop marketing analytics tools and evaluate the attributed impact of partner marketing investments on financial results and brand perception.
Driving thought leadership in the area of quantifying the value of distinct customer behaviors
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
– Bachelor\’s degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor\’s degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
– MBA, or CPA
– Knowledge of SQL/ETL
– Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
– Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
