ACCA Careers is inviting applications for a senior tax manager role based in Gatwick. The position leads, manages, and develops a dynamic tax team within the professional services industry, requiring exceptional management skills and comprehensive knowledge of tax law.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the tax team.
- Provide expert advice on tax matters to clients.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for clients.
- Provide training and support to team members.
- Oversee and manage tax audits.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax law and regulations.
Qualifications
- An in‑depth, up‑to‑date knowledge of taxation with specialist knowledge and the ability to deal with complex tax issues.
- Experience of dealing with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of clients.
- Experience of managing a portfolio of clients, including control of client take‑on, engagement, billings, and identification of opportunities to improve recoveries and cash collection.
- Ability to provide tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients using resources from a shared service team or technology tools.
- An understanding of potential risks to the firm in relation to the firm’s quality‑control procedures.
- Experience of leading complex projects.
- Experience of working with not‑for‑profit organisations would be an advantage but is not a requirement, provided you are enthusiastic about working in the sector and keen to learn more.
- CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
